Lock up your daughters and throw away the key while you're at it. Those wreckless, culture-vulturous Americo-anglophiles Holy Ghost Revival are releasing some astonishing raw and energy filled music (for the discerning and cool connoisseurs of music only)

'Embrace The Hate' is the blistering first single taken from the band's forthcoming album 'Twilight Exit' which follows on September 1st on 1965 records. Produced by Ryan Hadlock (Gossip, Modest Mouse, The Strokes, Stephen Malkmus) and HGR, 'Embrace The Hate' perfectly captures the raucous terrain so masterfully explored by Holy Ghost, from delicate to incendiary guitar riffs and superfluous arpeggios to all-out thrash metal, laced with front man Conor Kiley's histrionic vocals.

Embrace The Hate/ Angel Of Death Of My Dreams will be released as a double A-side 7" and download only on August 18th. The 7" single artwork will also feature two back to back shots donated by legendary Dior designer Hedi Slimane who has previously photographed the band for his blog http://www.hedislimane.com/diary/index.php
Great news as the one and only Holy Ghost revival make their crazy mark on NME magazine as they feature as their lead review this very week. "They're out of control, but that's a good thing" the magazine proclaims and " they've descided they're not leaving the UK until every last soul has either smacked them in the face or fallen head over heels for their gloriously violent, over-the-top psycho-rock-majesty"

His name is Conor Kiley and he is, quite possibly, the future of rock'n'roll.
"A rock show should be an eruption, like a riot"
By Kat Dibbits

SEATTLE dandies Holy Ghost Revival have been described as "Elizabethan theatre meets Pagan Glam" and were recently signed to the uber-cool Sony imprint, 1965 records. Intrigued, Kat Dibbits set out to discover more.

How would you describe the band?

Holy Ghost Revival is a collective of dudes wailing away in the basement of a house in the rain. We're rockers. We don't know how to save, we only know how to spend. That applies in all avenues of life, not just our economics.

Who are your influences?

The Scorpions. Diamond Dogs. Dead Moon. The Germs. Rufus Wainwright. The Doors. But our key influence, the one we really rip off the most, is an unknown seattle band called Cold Way Walking. They were a kinda Glam/Metal outfit that would at times evoke a folk-rock feeling. It was pretty far out, they were pretty far gone.

Where did the name come from?

The name comes from a sign over a shop in a part of Seattle called "The Blade." The Blade is full of folks whose souls might not be in tip-top shape. The store is in the business of saving souls. We just thought it was a cool name and an incongruous place.

What can people expect from your gigs?

Someone's cable is bound to fall out of their guitar. I'm bound to bump into someone in the band (probably Jean-Paul) and either knock their instrument over or out of tune. Folks can expect a prime example of the decline of culture to squeal in their dumb ears. Holy Ghost Revival is a rock band. We can''t satisfy sissies or guys with beards. We also play music. It rocks and sometimes it sways.

How important is it to you guys to put on a show?

I love playing shows! And if you play one you will invariably put one on. But I think our goal in playing to people is to shake them out of apathy. A rock show should be an eruption, like a riot.

Your press release says "The Holy Ghost Revival perform amid a self-inflicted maelstrom of homoerotic confrontation and crooning sadness." Discuss!

Yeah, that goes along with what I was saying before. Self-inflicted maelstrom: Depending on the situation, we have the tendency to turn an audience against us. Homo-erotic confrontation: Men aren't made to feel like sex-objects enough. He should be aware that eyes are on him and to dress and act accordingly.

Are we likely to see a Holy Ghost Revival clothing range?

Yeah man! I already customize peoples clothes during our show. I might give them a well placed beer stain or artful tear in the jeans. Sometimes we even do body alterations. Come down to the show! Dog and Partridge! It'll be our third time there and we're excited, they got good people there.

Holy Ghost Revival, Dog and Partridge, Manor Street, December 6
